Paloose Ranch is a shady part of God's good earth that serves as a safe haven for horses and their owners.  It is a place where the cost of the horse or the social status of the owner doesn't determine the quality of care and attention each individual receives.  As a boarding facility it offers full board with a stall for each horse at least 12' x 12' in size and daily (or night-time) turn-out in individual paddocks.  The cost of board includes feed and hay, electrolytes, and salt.  Rates are determined by the cost of maintaining different horses according to size, breed, consumption of grain, etc..

As a training and teaching facility the ranch offers a round pen, several riding rings, including both small and large dressage arenas and a jump field. The small dressage arena has lights for the evening riders.  The location is approximately 5 miles from the Florida Horse Park where there are numerous year-round competitions and is less than 2 miles from Interstate-75 (exit 341).  The training and teaching program on this farm has produced a multitude of winning horses (ponies and mules!) and riders in a variety of disciplines.  For verification of this see the Biography section of this web-site.

Some of my clients are merely interested in being good riders and knowledgeable horse owners.  They enjoy private or group lessons that teach safety and skill both on the ground and in the saddle.  These are people that like to trail ride.  The "Greenway", a trail system which includes the Florida Horse Park, is only minutes away.  The system is accessible on horseback but for safety purposes I usually trailer the horses.

Miscellaneous features on the property are such things as numerous wash-racks and grooming cross-ties.  There are mounting blocks provided; one stationary and several movable.  There is no extra charge for fans in the summer or for blanketing in the winter.  Horse trailers may be parked on the premises.  There is an available bathroom(not a port-a-potty!).   Without a doubt, one of the most appreciated features is the fact there is so much shade!

Aside from my own numerous years of experience in the care of horses, I have a quality team of professionals, including  my veterinarian, farrier, equine dentist, acupuncture/chiropractor, and massage therapist.  Each of these individuals is interested in what's best for both horse and owner.  You may use the professional of your choice in any of these fields.

Visitors are always welcome.  Please feel free to call or come by!
